Maui Open Studios 2027

We’re excited to announce that Art Maui will be the new host of Maui Open Studios!

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Carolyn Quan for her many years of dedicated service to the Maui art community. Her work has created a powerful platform for local artists, and we are honored to continue and expand on her legacy.

Maui Open Studios will remain very much in the spirit of what artists and collectors have come to love—an accessible, community-driven opportunity to connect artists and collectors, showcasing the artists' creative space, and sell their work. Art Maui will continue to promote the event with energy and intention, working to grow its reach and impact.

Instead of the pre-show opening event, we’re excited to offer two free online classes designed to help artists increase their visibility and sales during the event. Stay tuned for full details and registration information.

Art Maui is a nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers, and our mission remains to serve and uplift the Maui artist community.

With aloha and gratitude,
The Art Maui Team

The Events

The Maui Open Studios event features self-guided tours of artist open studios and exhibitions spaces island-wide and are free for the public to attend.

The art-loving, art-buying public are invited to enjoy one-on-one interactions with the artists and have the opportunity to learn about what inspires them, talk story, and purchase art directly from the artists themselves. Artist venues can range from gallery settings, home studios, outdoor venues, and other alternative exhibition spaces. Many artists serve refreshments, some give live demonstrations, and some may even have live music.

Printed guidebooks, online artist directories, Google maps, along with GPS, guide visitors to the artist studios and exhibition spaces around the island of Maui where the participating artists show. During the event, there are street signs directing you to artist locations. The event is a great opportunity for artists and art collectors to connect one-on-one with one another in interesting and inspiring environments.

*Note: At this time, West Maui artists will be showing on other parts of the island until the clearing and rebuilding efforts in West Maui are further along.
